You will need a KanAccess account to login to the Criminal History Record Search Application. Instructions for creating a KanAccess Account and linking a subscriber account are available on the Kansas.gov Portal.
You may conduct a record check at any time between the hours of 4:00 AM and Midnight, Central Time, every day. The Kansas Central Repository is unavailable from Midnight to 4:00 AM each day for scheduled maintenance.
When you begin your search request, you will be granted a time-stamped authentication token. The token will be stored in a temporary session cookie. You must have cookies turned on to use this application. After 30 minutes of inactivity within the Criminal History Record Search application, your session will timeout and you will be logged out automatically and redirected back to the home page. This is designed to lower the chances of someone else being able to use your information while you are away from your computer.
On Sunday, September 30th from 6:00am to 2:00pm, and again on Sunday, October 21st from 6:00am to 12:00pm, the KBI has scheduled computer system maintenance. During these times, the Criminal History Record Search will be unavailable.
