What is it for?
The MyKansas page gives you an opportunity to save your most-used and favorite services and links on Kansas.gov. No more searching for the things you need the most. You can move tiles around, add or delete them, whenever you like.
What is a "Tile"?
Tiles are small information sets or boxes that hold clustered information either related to a specific government agency, a set of online services related to an industry, or popular information such as news, weather, podcasts and more. You can build your own tile to house your favorite links, so you don't have to search for them each time you visit Kansas.gov.
How does it save my page?
The MyKansas feature uses cookies to save your information. There is no need for you to remember a user name and password. The site recognizes your computer when you visit Kansas.gov. This is similar to popular consumer sites like Yahoo! and others. We do not capture any private information from you, but simply recognize your computer for this feature only. If you want to remove your customized settings, just delete the cookies from your browser and your MyKansas page will return to the current Kansas.gov default settings.

What types of tiles are available?
There are three types of tiles:
- Very simple tiles of promotional services, such as an agency Web site or a specific service. It will contain a description, one or more links to services, and possibly an image.
- Interactive tiles provide more direct functionality. An interactive tile can have dropdown boxes that will take you to a service or allow you to perform a function, such as subscribing to a newsletter or notification.
- "Build My Own Tile" gives you a place to house your most-used or favorite links in one spot. Choose "Build My Own Tile" and add it to your page. Within the tile, click on the "Add Link" and enter a short description or name of something that is recognizable to you in the "Title" field. Then enter the entire link (URL) or go to the page, copy and paste the URL link into the "Link" field. (i.e. http://www.kansas.gov/) Click the "Add Link" button and it will be displayed. To remove a link, just click on the delete (x) icon.
