ADJUTANT GENERAL TO ADDRESS ANNUAL KANSAS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

Maj. Gen. Tod Bunting, the adjutant general and director of the Kansas Division of Emergency Management, will address the annual conference of the Kansas Emergency Management Association in Topeka Thursday, Sept. 17, 12 p.m., at the Ramada Inn Downtown, Topeka.

The conference, which runs from Sept. 15-18, is an opportunity for emergency managers, first responders, emergency medical personnel and others involved in emergency response to hear about the latest in technology, share information, discuss emergency response operations and build good working relationships.

Bunting will give an overview of the Kansas Division of Emergency Management and the role it plays in emergency response across the state.
Conference workshop topics include Debris Management 101, Social Networking, U.S. National Grid, Foreign Animal Disease, Quarantine and Isolation, Food Borne Diseases, Safe Schools, WebEOC, H1N1 Update and other subjects of interest.
