FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sept. 25, 2008 No. 08-108 KANSAS NATIONAL GUARD TO HAVE MILITARY DISPLAYS DURING RACE EVENTS AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY
The Kansas National Guard, in conjunction with Cabela’s of Kansas City, will have a military display this weekend, September 26, 27 and 28 during the race events at the Kansas Speedway.
Soldiers and units from across the state will converge on Cabela’s to set up a state of the art display featuring a Special forces Shooting Trailer, a Blackhawk Helicopter, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, state of the art trucks, meteorological equipment as well as a climbing wall and a mechanical bull.
The Army National Guard Rock Band “Section 8” will also perform for a “Party in the Parking Lot” at Cabela’s both Friday and Saturday evening at 6:30, with another show at noon on Saturday.
Also on hand will be the Dale Earnhardt, Jr. “Number 88” show car (after 4 p.m. Sept. 26 and 27), the tire change challenge and complimentary photo gallery as well as a mobile theatre featuring National Guard information. -30- |
