FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 15, 2008 No. 08-041 KANSAS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD AIR DETACHMENT RETURNING HOME MAY 16 Ten soldiers of Detachment 37, Operational Support Aviation Command, are returning to the United States after a seven-month tour of duty in Iraq. The unit flew C-12 fixed wing aircraft missions, transporting government officials, visiting dignitaries and other personnel. Six of the soldiers from Topeka and surrounding areas will be landing at the Millionaire terminal, Forbes Field, Topeka, on Friday, May 16, at approximately 11 a.m. They will be greeted on the ramp by Maj. Gen. Tod Bunting, the adjutant general and Col. Eric Peck, chief of the Joint Staff. A short welcome ceremony will follow in the Millionaire terminal. One soldier is returning to Wichita (Mid-Continent Airport, approximately
11:05 a.m.) and two will be landing in Kansas City (Charles B. Wheeler
Downtown Airport, approximately 12:50 p.m.). The remaining soldier will
