FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nov. 26, 2007 No. 07-176 TriWest to Match up to $15,000 in donations to Kansas
National Guard Foundation The military healthcare provider, TriWest, has agreed to match up to
$15,000 in donations to the Kansas National Guard Foundation through Nov.
30. TriWest Healthcare Alliance administers the TRICARE (health care) program
for military service members in a 21-state region, including Kansas. We are grateful for the generosity of TriWest to our National Guard
families, said Barbara Bunting, board member of the Kansas National
Guard Foundation. Our families often find themselves struggling
with additional challenges when a spouse or parent is deployed and this
foundation can assist them in many ways, especially in areas where other
programs may not be available. Funds donated to the Kansas National Guard Foundation, Inc. provide financial
support for programs aimed at helping Guard members, their families and
their communities in dealing with various aspects of military deployments.
These include camps for children of Guard members, community meetings
and trainings for family members trying to deal with issues arising from
soldier deployments as well as transitioning through the return home.
The foundation also supports programs that educate the public about the
roles and accomplishments of the Guard and their families and the benefits
of the Guard in communities. Anyone wanting to donate to the Kansas National Guard Foundation may
send donations to Chairman, Kansas National Guard Foundation, 2800 SW
Topeka Blvd, Topeka KS 66611. Questions may be addressed to KSNGFD@yahoo.com -30- |
