First a list of some regular jams around the state. Before you drive any long distance to one, please call ahead. We all try to stick to a schedule but things change. If you have one to list, please contact us.

• Auburn, Kansas Prairie Picker Association jam, 4th Sunday of the month, October through April, Auburn Community Center, 1-5 p.m., for info call Ron Meier at (785) 887-6314. The 2009/2010 schedule is October 25, Nov 22, Jan 1, Jan 24, Feb 28, Mar 28, Apr 25.
• Fairview, Hosted by John Keim, second Sunday, October until March. Fairview Community Building 1:30p.m. 500 West Commercial Street. Call John at (785) 467-8971.
• Manhattan, Acoustic Country Music Jam, Ashland Community Center, Manhattan, KS, 7 mi. S of McDowell Creek Road., Jam 2nd Sunday of the month Oct. thru Apr. 1:30-5 p.m., for info call Don or Hazel Sargent (785) 539-6700. April w/potluck at 5p.m. after the jam.
• Lawrence, Kaw Valley Acoustic Music Assoc. Jam at the Dillards, 1720 Troon Land, 7:00-9:30 p.m. Usually the second Tuesday evening of the month. Contact John Dillard (785)865-5502.
• Lawrence, There's a weekly jam at Americana Music Academy , 1419 Mass. St. Saturday afternoons, 3-5 p.m. (785)830-9640 or visit their website calendar at www.americana-music.org. No musical style in particular, and is a "laid back & relaxed jam".
• Lawrence, There's a weekly Community Acoustic jam at Signs of Life Bookstore. 722 Mass Street, Wednesday, 7:30-9:30 p.m. (785)830-8030 or visit their website at http://www.signsoflifebooks.com. No musical style in particular.
• Council Grove, Barber Shop, Derrick Doty, barber, hosts this monthly jam at 7 p.m. on last Tuesday. (620)767-8316.
• Emporia Community Acoustic Jam The first Friday and third Monday of the month from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Flint Hills Technical College Conference Center, 3301 W 18th, Emporia, KS. For additional information call Bill at 620 341-1335 or email whanlon@fhtc.edu
• Cottonwood Falls, Emma Chase Cafe, has jams on Friday nights, all month long. Different flavor each Friday: first Friday one is acoustic country, second Friday is acoustic bluegrass, third is acoustic Gospel, fourth Friday is old timey rock & roll and vintage country (amplifiers allowed), and fifth Friday is folk and Contra music.
