Mission

The mission of the Kansas Dental Board is to ensure and protect dental health by enforcement of the Kansas Dental Law.

Vision

The vision of the Kansas Dental Board is to balance commitment and focus on public health.

Philosophy

The philosophy of the Kansas Dental Board is to attain standard of ethics, quality of care and professional accountability.

Staff

Currently the Dental Board staff consists of one executive director, one administrative officer and one senior administrative assistant. The attorney, inspector and administration of the impaired program are contract persons.

Regulatory Board Members

The Kansas Dental Board was created to carry out and enforce the Kansas Dental Practices Act. The Board consists of nine members: six licensed and qualified resident dentists (one from each congressional district and two at-large), two licensed and qualified resident dental hygienists, and one representative from the general public. Members of the Board are appointed by the Governor for four-year terms and serve until their successors are appointed.
