Kansas State University will be offering a series of ESRI-authorized geographic information systems workshops during the coming year.  These training workshops may be of interest to your association membership.

There are several ways you may inform your membership about these educational opportunities:

Introduction to ArcView 3.x

This two-day course provides a conceptual overview and hands-on experience using ArcView 3.x software.  It teaches basic ArcView functionality and enables participants to quickly take advantage of the software's powerful display and analysis capabilities.  Participants are introduced to the ArcView GIS and use ArcView to create, edit, display, query, and analyze geographic and tabular data, and to create presentation-quality maps and charts.  The workshop is offered on the K-State campus in Manhattan, Kansas.  The cost is $600 and includes presentation materials.  For more information visit www.dce.ksu.edu/gistraining, e-mail info@dce.kse.edu, or call 1-800-432-8222, or 785/532-5566.

 

Introduction to ArcGIS

This two-day course covers fundamental GIS concepts, as well as how to query a GIS database, manipulate tabular data, edit spatial and attribute data, and present data clearly and efficiently using maps and charts.  Participants learn how to use ArcMapTM, and ArcCatalogTM, and ArcToolboxTM, and explore how these applications work together to provide a complete GIS software solution.
