How do I request a hearing?
Our office requires a written request which can be made via mail, fax, or email. Send your request to the Executive Director and sign it. Include your case number, make your request, and include the reason(s) you are making the request.
When will my hearing take place?
Felony review hearings take place at the Kansas Board of Cosmetology. Once a hearing request is received by the Board, felony review hearings are scheduled on the day of the next upcoming in-person Board meeting. All other hearings are scheduled at the discretion of the Office of Administrative Hearings.
How long do I have to request a hearing?
You have 15 days from the date printed on the Certificate of Service to request a hearing.
How do I pay my fine?
You can submit a check or money order to our office in the regular mail, please make sure to note the case number on the memo line of the check/money order. Credit card payments may be accepted via the payment portal located on our website.
What if I can’t pay the whole fine right now?
We are happy to work with you! Submit correspondence via mail or email to our office requesting a payment plan and staff will contact you to set up a Payment Agreement.
Do I have to pay my fine?
Yes! Outstanding fines cause a hold to be placed on your facility license and/or your personal license. Failure to make timely payment may result in your case being turned over to the Kansas Debt Set-Off program and revocation of your license
