Field Investigation

The primary function of the Field Investigations Division is to provide expert criminal investigative services to local law enforcement agencies. Organizationally, this division divides the state into four operational districts staffed with special agents and supervised by a special agent in Charge in each district. Investigative personnel are assigned case work based upon requests for assistance from local, county and state law enforcement agencies or prosecutors' offices. Requests for criminal investigative assistance from other state agencies are also honored. All requests for assistance are prioritized consistent with the division's goals and objectives.
